Digital Forensics Professionals Inc., a Tulsa-based computer investigative service, has changed its name to Avansic.
The change follows a recent announcement that Avansic secured a $1 million investment to launch the company into several cities across the country. In addition, Avansic will launch a complete rebranding of its company later this fall.
Avansic also named its first board of directors, picking James C. McGill as its chairman. McGill is chairman at MacroSolve Inc. and a member of the University of Tulsa board of trustees.
Other board members include Joel B. Kantor, managing partner for Mimosa Tree Capital; P. Vincent LoVoi, managing partner for Mimosa Tree Capital; and Gavin W. Manes, president and CEO for Avansic.
Digital Forenics was founded in 2003. The company's team of experts possesses more than 40 years of combined experience, and holds certifications from a variety of institutions.
