Electronically Stored Information: Ethics and Considerations

Oklahoma Bar Association, Intellectual Property Law Seminar and Midyear Meeting
Dr. Gavin W. Manes will discuss the ethics of handling electronically stored information during the process of digital forensics and electronic discovery. The effect of issues such as licensing, privileged information, and the discovery of pornography will be outlined in the context of digital forensics investigations and standard electronic discovery procedures. The presentation will conclude with a discussion of Rule 37 of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure and other recent ethical considerations.

The Oklahoma Bar Association's Intellectual Property Law Section has more than 140 members, and every year the section has a two-day mid-year meeting during which seminars relating to developments in intellectual property law and related matters are presented. This year's meeting will be held at the Four Seasons in Las Colinas, TX.

Dr. Manes will be speaking at 8:00 AM on Sunday, July 13th. The presentation will count towards 1 hour of CLE credit.
