Dr. Manes will be giving an hourlong presentation on Dropbox Forensics at the Computer Forensics Show in San Francisco, California. The talk will begin at 2:00 pm and will take place at the Bentley Reserve Center in room ITA #3.

This presentation will cover the basics of Dropbox data analysis on Windows, Mac OSX, and Linux machines. This includes overview of the structure of the heavily-used SQLite database format, the database files used by Dropbox and their contents, and how to meaningfully parse the data within them to aid in an investigation. The presenter will also cover common Windows artifacts and how they can be used to shed further light on activity in Dropbox.

Like it or not, every computer is a potential crime scene and must be treated with care. When companies need to conduct internal investigations-especially those involving litigation-discovering and maintaining evidence becomes paramount.
