On the heels of $1 million investment, DFP is now Avansic

TULSA, OKLA – Digital Forensics Professionals Inc., one of the nation’s leading providers of computer investigative services, today announced it has changed its name to Avansic.

The change follows a recent announcement that Avansic secured a $1 million investment to launch the company into several metropolitan areas across the country. The expansion will provide the business and legal communities with proven procedures to investigate, monitor and retrieve information from electronic devices. In addition, Avansic will launch a complete rebranding of its company later this fall.

“Digital forensics focuses on real issues that are changing the way our legal, corporate and government entities handle digital evidence, so we’ve always known our services have the potential for growth beyond this region,” said Gavin W. Manes, president and CEO for Avansic. “Renaming our company Avansic is one of the strategic steps we’re taking to market our cutting-edge computer investigation services nationwide. And that means a greater economic impact and more jobs for Tulsa – a goal I’ve always had for this company.”

Avansic also named members of its first board of directors. James C. McGill, chairman of the board for MacroSolve Inc. and a member of The University of Tulsa board of trustees, will serve as chairman of the board. Additional board members include Joel B. Kantor, managing partner for Mimosa Tree Capital; P. Vincent LoVoi, managing partner for Mimosa Tree Capital; and Manes.

Since 2003, Avansic has worked to provide a competitive advantage to the business and legal communities by adhering to the highest standards of quality, confidentiality and diligence in the field of digital forensics.

Avansic’s team of experts possesses more than 40 years of combined experience and holds certifications from a variety of institutions, including the American College of Forensic Examiners, the Committee on National Security Systems and the National Information Assurance Education and Training Program. The company’s founder, Manes, received the 2007 Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award from the Metropolitan Tulsa Chamber of Commerce.
