Background
Two family members were engaged in a dispute regarding the administration and distribution of funds from a trust fund. One alleged the other had mis-administered the fund and attempted to file suit for damages, claiming that he was never informed of any malfeasance with the funds
Avansic's Role
Avansic was asked to analyze the communications on the cell phones of both family members. Text messages on both phones showed that not only they had exchanged frequent correspondence during the dates in question, but that the correspondence included specific discussions of the trust fund problems. This also included messages about why the funds were not present to distribute.
Outcome
After receiving the analysis of the text messages, the case was dismissed.
