04-30-2013 - Dr. Gavin W. Manes and Mr. Christopher Thrutchley
Avansic Webinar
Recently, Avansic distributed a whitepaper on the subject of BYOD (bring your own device). It has generated a lot of discussion from both attorneys and their clients so we're hosting a 1 hour FREE webinar to continue the dialouge.

Although bring your own device is not a new phenomenon (people have been bringing thumb drives to work for years), BYOD trends are making laptops, tablets and cell phones the primary computing resources for employees. Dr. Gavin W. Manes and AV Preeiminent attorney Chris Thrutchley will be discussing BYOD in the workplace, some recent case law, forensic acquisition of mobile devices, and more.

Dr. Manes is the CEO of Avansic and will bring the technology perspective while Mr. Thrutchley, a labor and employment attorney, will discuss some of the HR and employment implications of BYOD. Dr. Manes is a nationally recognized expert in e-discovery and digital forensics and has has given hundreds of presentations to attorneys, executives, professors, law enforcement, and professional groups on topics ranging from e-discovery issues to cyber law. He most recently spoke on the topic of BYOD at the ABA's 7th Annual Institute on E-Discovery. Mr. Thrutchley is one of few employment lawyers in the nation to be certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), an internationally recognized designation conferred for senior-level mastery of the strategic and functional areas of human resources. Chris capitalizes on his unique knowledge and experience as a former human resources director with responsibility for over 3,250 union and non-union employees to provide daily, strategic counsel to unionized and non-unionized employers of all sizes and types.
