08-07-2014 - Dr. Gavin W. Manes
Section of Labor and Employment Law at the 2014 ABA Annual Meeting
Dr. Manes will present at the ABA Labor & Employment Law's Section Conference as a part of the 2014 ABA Annual Meeting in Boston. This session will take place from 3:30 - 4:45 on Thursday, August 7th.

In the aftermath of the explosive revelations of the NSA - Snowden disclosures, companies like Google have now admitted that its confidential encrypted information is systematically monitored by the US Government. How do companies protect confidential data from government-level intrusions from both domestic and foreign actors? Also, how do you know if employees are following data handling rules and what happens if customer personal identifying information or national-security and confidential information is released to the public? This panel will discuss the current state of the art on protecting against government intrusion and employee theft of confidential data in the post-Snowden world.

The Section of Labor and Employment Law will be headquartered at the Sheraton Hotel (39 Dalton Street) and the majority of the CLE Sessions will take place at the Hynes Convention Center.
